I am looking forward to getting back onto a schedule. This past week I was on vacation and so was my daughter. It was a long sort of relaxing week. Then it happened. The old beater care we have decided to finally have a problem that may cost us some money...the garage is so busy it can't be looked at until Wednesday this week. Hopefully, I won't need to get my husband a new car. We have been following the Dave Ramsey method to get our finances in order and we were hoping to wait until next year to buy a car because then we will have enough money to buy a "new" car totally with cash. We have $8000 saved up right now in the car fund, but by next year we would have enough to buy something better. Oh well, this is how life goes. We will keep praying and see what the next few days bring us. Whatever we do, my husband and I are on the same wavelength we do not want car payments if we can help it. Needless to say, I am trying my hardest to stay out of the grocery store this week.
Here is the menu for the week
Monday: Pepper steak
Tuesday: Pork roast and asparagus
Wednesday: Chicken pot pie
Thursday: Leftover
Friday: meatless meal, I am thinking an egg caserole not sure about this yet.
Saturday: Homemade pizza
Sunday: Roasted chicken potatoes and a veggie

We are doing Dave Ramsey, too.... and your menu looks great for staying out of the store!
ReplyDeleteI love asparagus - how do you prepare yours? Sorry to hear about your car, I can totally relate as last year I think everything we own broke down. We're still washing dishes by hand because I don't want to spend money on a new dishwasher. Thanks for visiting and sharing the link to your menu.
